DAILY LIFE

I AM A THIRD-YEAR STUDENT IN X.T.C.(XI'AN TRANSLATORS COLLEGE). MY
DAILY LIFE CAN BE DIVIDED INTO TWO PERIODS:THE FIRST ONE IS FROM
THURSDAY TO MONDAY,AND THE OTHER IS FROM TUESDAY TO WENSDAY.
THE FIRST PERIOD IS OUR CLASS TIME.WE ARE NOT ALLOWED
TO GO OUT OF THE COLLEGE.THE TIME OF OUR DAILY LIFE IS USUALLY
REGULATED.
GET UP  AT 6:30 A.M.AND PREPARE FOR CLASS FOR ABOUT HALF AN HOUR.
READING FROM  7:30 TO 8:20A.M.
HAVE TWO CLASSES FROM 8:40 TO 12:00 A.M.
LUNCH AND REST FROM 12:00 TO 2:10 P.M.
HAVE  ANOTHER TWO CLASSES FROM 2:10 TO 5:30 P.M.
DINNER AND REST FROM 5:30 TO 7:40 P.M.
REVIEW AND PREPARE LESSONS IN THE EVENING CLASS(FROM 7:40 TO 9:40P.M.
GO TO SLEEP AT 10:40
THE SECOND TIME IS OUR WEEKEND TIME.THIS IS OUR FREE TIME,WE HAVE A LOT
OF THINGS TO DO:READINGS,PLAYING,
CLIMIBIG MOUNTAINS,GO SHOPPING,GO TO LIBRARY,PLAY COMPUTER ETC.
 

Spare time

In Xi’an Translators Training College, you can see lots of students spare time is very colorful.

After five days learning people always know how to prepare free time. So students get together, and organise activity.

One of the most popular one is football. In our college, person are attracted by the European football team, and love the football star, and is honest follower of AC Milton, and Futer Milan. So student form a lot of football team and made championship between classes. Now, we have many little stars. Maybe after a few days they will also become successful sportsmen.

The second is hiking. You know our college lives besides a mountain (cui hua). So, climbing mountain become more and more popular in student. For them the hiking  not only is the activity of exercising the body but also is the best method to preserve and gain the confidence.

Table tennis is the Chinese national pastime. In our college out student also fascinate in it. Some of them have the diploma of Milton 2 standard.

Also the basketball, dancing, volleyball is also the students favourite in our college.

In XTTC the students major subject is English. For practice their English, lots of English plays appears on the stage.

One of the most picturesque and impressive parts of XTTC is singing. We are the younger generation of China. Students haven’t suffered the hard life of last generation. So they get the confidence of the Nation’s future, the challenge and feel of the new world.


Oral English on the go.

May is the most charming month in one year, when  even the air is filled with the zest of youth.

In step with the Spring our college life is as colourful as the spring flowers themselves.

These days the activities of English Speech Contest and debating contest are on the go. More and more students go to English Corner to practise their oral English. After several weeks hard work, they go to make speech on the stage or have a debating with other team.

“Friendship is the first, competition is the second” is the spirit of this activity and “practise makes perfect” is the motivation. “Welcome the new era of knowledge economy “ and “Challenge for the new century” are the hot topics. Through disgussing about them, students clearly get to know about their challenge and their responsibility.

The final competition will be held on June 13. It will be an exciting moment. Who will be the wonner? We are looking forward to seeing. We’re expecting.


College life
 
   Here I want to talk something about how we study English.
   As you know,our college is named Xian Translators college. Everybody majors in English.For us English is very important.I remembered that when I  first entered the college,the teacher here told me that oral English is the most important part of my study. It is also the thing that the college pays attention to. So we have  Oral English Competition  twice every year.
     The competitors are chosen throughout the campus. If you want to take part in it,you should take part in the competition held by your class first.Then, the competition held by your grade.Then,if you are good enough and fortunate,you will take part in the Oral English Competition held by the college.
     Usually,the school often only allows 10 to 20 people from each grade to attend the competition.That is to say you must be excellent.
      The hosts of the competition are also the students. We have the teachers ,proffessors, and of cause foreign teachers to be our judges. They will give their own opinions by marking each competitors. The college will draw a conclusion according to the marks,and the champions will come out soon.
       Fortunately,I took part in this competition almost every time.And also be awarded several times. But I am still  interested in it .  I know the next aim is to win the championships.
