MUSIC

Today we got the topic---- Music. Like all the young people, Maria and Maggie are both interested in music.
Music to everybody, the first impression is the tone, than the voice, than the singer. We like to listen to the music while walking or studying. Sometime when you are home, you often leave the TV on, maybe you don’t watch it, you only want something go with you. So we’d like listening to the music while doing some other things .
Popular music is the best kind of music we like .Here is some Chinese singers, Andy Liu(???), Coco Lee(??) and so on. We also know something about Backstreet boys, Boys & Men .We’d like to join their “slow rock”.
Do you know some Chinese singers?
Are you interested in Chinese music?
Yours,
Maria and Maggie.

Music
By Susan

There are many kinds of music, such as jazz, popular music, classical music, folk songs, light music blues and so on. Most of young people like popular music and rock music. They think music is very relaxing after a day of studying hard, it is not only fun to listen to the music but also spread the flame in their heart.

Some old people like to enjoy classical music or folk songs especially local folk songs for instance the Beijing Opera, the Yu Opera (in Henan Province), Qin Opera (in Shaanxi Province), Jin Opera (in Shanxi Province).

In China, there is a famous Chinese classical drama – Liang Shan-bo and Zhu Ying-tai (as true to the story of Romeo and Juliette).

In short, good music often has a wonderful effect upon the feeling of even ignorant people. One poet has said, “Music has charms to soothe the savage breast”. Soft and sweet music soothes the weared, the sad, the restless; grand music will fill strong men with great ambitions. The regimental band put courage in the hearts of troops, the solemn hymns, fills the worshippers with reverance.
